What is an interesting topic to research about Spain?

Question

So I have to do a 5-8 minute long presentation about Spain and the topic can be anything I choose. Well...I'm not well-informed about Spain to begin with, so what is something interesting/fascinating to you about Spain? Preferably with lots of information to go on.

I'd really appreciate your help!

I love the architecture there...  The way the buildings are built, the way the cathedrals are...   There is some AMAZING buildings there.

On Architecture:  you could do your entire talk on the Modernistas of Barcelona.

I would go with the culture of Andalucía, but that is already my specialty...or Quixote country, which I did for a research project in a University study.  Or the gypsies, or the Moors, or the Jews or the Christians or the Celts of Spain.  Or the Pilgrimage of Santiago.  Or the Northern coast, and the caves of Altamira.  The Basques and their unique culture/language/food.  So many possibilities, it boggles the mind...of anyone who is already familiar, anyway...you came to the right place...if this doesn't do it for ya, email me...I can come up with more.

What about Gaudi? A famous architect from barcelona who designed la Sagrada Familia.

What about Spanish gastronomy?

Please don't do it about bullfighting. Spain has many other traditional stuff than this such us traditional dances like flamenco, la sardana, la jota.

What about a city in particular like Barcelona, San Sebastían, Santiago de Compostela?

What about el camino de Santiago?

Spanish top ten visited sites: like Sagrada familia, La alhambra de granada, etc
