Ouija boards are also known as talking boards and spirit boards. You can use these to communicate with the dead basically. As for is it dangerous. No. If you take the right steps and know what your doing then no it isn't dangerous. I've had positive experiances with ouija boards.  

THEY ARE NOT TOOLS THAT THE DEVIL USES TO POSSESS YOU.

OMG....One of my friends from grade school had 1 that belonged to her grandmother. It was an older, cooler, scary looking board. I personally thought it looked cooler than the new ones. We had a sleep-over at my friends house and we pulled the board out when her mom fell asleep. Aside from the fact some of our guy friends scared the c**p out of us by knocking on the window right as we were getting started, we did try it. There was 5 of us girls. You know when your with your firends it is hard to tell if they would mess with you, but some things you can't fake. As we started and were trying to call to some spirit something happend that I know couldn't be faked. My friend Aimeebeth had long straight brown hair passed her butt. Picture you taking your hand and flicking under your hair and it goes out. It's natural and falls wherever and doesn't go straight out. It look liked someone pulled her hair up, out to the side, but it was so straight, perfect and fast we know it was impossible. Everyone thought it was me and her messing around, but I was sitting on the opposite side from her and we had our hands on the board. The girl it went by wasn't sitting close enough to touch her. It freaked all of us out that we had to quit. No windows were open, no air or fans on. The whole night little weird things kept happening and trying to watch a scary movie after didn't help. We all went upstairs and slept in my friends mom room. (tryed to sleep, sorry). We did tell friends mom in the morning. I have had some crazy things happen to me and my family when we were growing up that I do believe that there are spirits and weird things that can happen. I would be careful if you decide to play with this board. I have heard some bad stories from doing so. The thing with spirits you can't filter them and pick the 1's you want to come through.  We never played this agian. My friend that brought it I haven't talked to in years, but I know her family is open to doing things like this so I don't know what happend to the cool board she had nor if she has ever done anything with it agian.

OMG!!!! its sooooooo super scary!!!!! its like u put ur hand on a bottle cap or a small thing then u ask is som1 there then the weejee bord starts moving by itself to YES!!!!!! its soooooo creepy. it just makes me wonder whos doing it but evey1 swears there not....

It's a board where you can communicate with spirits. You can invite a spirit to play with you. There are letters on the board for the spirit to answer your questions. You have to touch a coin and the spirit will move the coin for you.

This is what i heard from my friend's father who played with one. And dangers that i've heard are that the spirit refuses to stop playing and refuses to go back where it came from. That's when you're stuck with it.

It's a board that has all the letters of the alphabet on it, all one-digit numbers and certain words and short phrases, such as "Yes" and "No". It is use to invoke spirits of the dead and have them answer your questions. People who use it place an upturned cup on the board and believe the spirits guide their hands across the board to spell out their answers.

I know a couple who tried something like this. They thought they were invoking a dead spirit, but they got something else. I think it was a djinn or a demon because it wasn't friendly. It didn't actually hurt them but it had a good time scaring the c**p out of them.

True story.

So yeah, it can be dangerous, because you never know what you're going to get.
