Aristocracy? What are the main points of it and what are some present day Aristocracys? I am doing a project on it and I just need some more info. Is it like Kings and Queens?

  1. The term aristocrate means "ruled by the best" in greek. Aristocracy is also known as blue-blood families. An aristocrate family is a very priviledged social class with a long family lineage of nobles and considerable wealth. It is a hereditary honour and not someting you could become when you won the lottery. However, you could be an aristocrate even if you didn't have a huge estate or money. Aristocrate include a monarch (Kings and Queens), Dukes, Earls, Sir, Lords, Ladies and any other peerage titles.


  2. The term aristocracy refers to a form of government where power is held by a small number of individuals from an elite or from noble families.
