What is an "actively traded stock"?

One that trades enough to get your orders executed quickly at a price near the last trade.  For a small investor, this might mean 10000 a day, for a mutual fund, it might mean 1000000 a day.  I trade actively and stick to things that trafe 200000 a day.  Another way to look at it is, look at stocks with a spread of less than 5 cents.
