State records will be set around 2:20 for girls in High School.  So I would say 2:30-2:40 would be average.

Under 2:15 is a very good time.

Under 2:10 is a great time.

well, at my school, the high school girls did a mile relay in 4:04, and went to state, so ergo, a decent time 4 the 800 is roughly 2:25-2:40.
