  1. Duathlons are a run - bicycle - run event.  The distance can vary based on event and skill level.  I have seen:

    10K run - 40K bicycle - 5K run (official international length)

    3 mile run - 16 mile bicycle - 3 mile run

    5K run - 30K bicycle - 5K run
