How would I find out if something is copyrighted or not. Like an airplane or an invention or something. Is there a website that tells you.

  1. Copyright only covers literary, musical, theatrical works etc, and its not something you need apply for or register. if you have written a book or a song, you automatically own the copyright to it, unless you specifically give it to someone else in a contract.

Inventions like aeroplanes are covered by patents. I think there are different Patent organisations in different countries that manage this.
