It where personalities and moods (usually through your astrology)  are compared to an animal.

There's nothing on Irish Animology unless someone just made it up.

Animology (as opposed to astrology) purports to match potential soul mates based on a quiz which asks them questions about animals. For example, the one quiz I took when researching this answer matched me with a gray dolphin and claimed my soul mate was a bronze goat; in other words, animology makes even less sense than traditional astrology.

As for Irish animolgy, your guess is good as mine.
