What is another name for mutual fund?

Question

When I look at the institutional ownership for my stocks I don't see mutual funds so I am wondering if there is another name for them. These are some possibles: pension fund, Investment advisor, research firm etc. If there is no other name or if it is not listed here please let me know. Because I want to know which one is mutual funds.

A mutual fund is a managed firm of collective investments that collects money from many investors and puts it in stocks, bonds, short-term money market instruments, and/or other securities.  So if you are trying to actually track your investments, you should look at the type of investments your fund is involved with.  If you went through a financial advisor they should have a portfolio for you to look at with your investments.
