  1. setter

  2. middle hitter

  3. Middle hitter

only if you play a 6-2

You have everyone hitting and two people setting

  4. It depends on what kind of defense/offense you play.

Mostly It will be called either setter, or middle/blocker.

    hope this helps :]

    <3

  5. uuuuuuuuuh setter

  6. setter

    umm... middle blocker

    but its generally the setter

  7. Middle blocker. It also may depend on where you put your setter

  8. Middle blocker lol

  9. Every answer that is before mine is wrong.  The setter mostly plays on the weak side in most of the teams offensives.  The center front players is called the middle hitter, or just the middle.    I should know this because I play college volleyball and in fact am a middle hitter.

  10. Middle/blocker (taller person or someone who can jump up pretty high)

  11. offense~ middle hitter

    defense~ middle blocker

FYI:: the setter is based to the middle hitter/blocker. the setter is hardly ever in the middle unless you are playing a random pick-up game.

  12. That would be my position middle blocker...but it depends on the play and at what point the play is in. Usually its eiter the middle blocker but more advanced plays will have switching sides.

  13. middle blocker

  14. Middle Blocker.

  15. For beginners, young players, or pickup games, the one in the middle front is the setter. For more advanced team, the setter got moved to right front, or is coming from back row, and the middle front player is "middle hitter" during offense, and "middle blocker" during defense... which is the position I have been playing during the first half of my volleyball life :)

I never needed a libero to sub me when I got rotated to the back row, so I was switched to middle back to cover the end line from corner to corner. I expanded my role to "cornerS" as I was able to dive into any corner when needed.

  16. center in the front is the middle blocker (some just call it the middle) the middle player in the back is just a back row player  which many times will be a libero or a defensive specialist

  17. Middle Blocker :)

It's not the b/c the setter can be front row and back row, and it usually stays to the right in base, not middle.

  18. that person is called the setters!

  19. its a middle hitter/blocker.

its not the setter. The setters base is to the right of the middle hitter.
