direct deposit other than to their bank?

all government agencies are now making people in b.c canada , use direct deposit . they say it will cut down on paper usage , but they still send me a paper saying they have made the deposit , so that idea they gave has got me stumped . i still get an envelope , LOL .  take care .

They can get the check mailed to them or directly deposited in their bank or an online financial savings institution such as eTrad.com or ingdirect.com.  You say "other than their bank", but their name will have to be on the bank account no matter what.  If it is transferred to something such as eTrade, which pays higher interest than any traditional bank, the money can be left in savings to earn interest, but it can also be transferred using the internet as needed to the persons "regular" bank.  I hope this helps.
