  1. I don't have the answer - maybe you need to find out how you learn. Maybe your an "Out of the Box Thinker." You might be bored and need to be challenged doing something positive.

I would suggest a take the time to read "Frames of Minds by Howard Gardner.

“Howard Gardner the author, a professor at the Harvard School of Education and a practitioner of cognitive science based on a theory of multiple intelligences wrote many books on this subject.

He stated they are over 150 different types of intelligence.  The first one I ever read was in his 1983 book, Frames of Minds and it woke me up as a person now as a parent.  In “Frame of Minds” he talks about various intelligence that you will never hear spoken in the Educational sytem.

I really don't think the Educational system is not equiped to handle diffent thinkers. (Morzart and Einstien would fit in ADD or ESL catorgory.)

    Gardener talk about:

    Linguistic Intelligence

    Musical Intelligence

    Logical-Mathematical Intelligence

    Spatial Intelligence

    Interpersonal Intelligence

    Intrapersonal Intelligence

    Bodily-Kinesthetic Intelligence

    Personal Intelligence

the list goes on  and  on. Read about each one - you might fall under a couple.

I don't know much, but I do know you have to try to know "Yourself" .

  2. I'm not sure where you live so I can't tell you about online schooling for you personally but I do know that there are defiantly options.

Also, to get started home learning you should discover your interests. I have a daughter who is a little younger than you and she loves music, writing and math. This is what she spends her days doing. She's learning and loving it! It will make learning more fun and positive for you.

One more thing. You can still get into college/university if you are homeschooled. Many post secondary education places seek homeschoolers for their real life and unique knowledge. I was once at an education fair and mentioned that my kids homeschooled to a university math teacher. He told me to sign my kids up with him when they were older because homeschoolers where just the kind of people he needed in his classes.

  3. Hi I'm in a homeschooling Internet thing, so i do all my schoolwork on line. I think that its really easy and really fun too. Plus its free! I'm in tenth grade and this is my first year so I'm still getting used to it but i think you should look it up. Connections Academy. so google that and you should find it  :-)

  4. Well, homeschooling isn't for the "lazy", but if what you mean by lazy is that aren't a morning person, then thats different.

Find out what the law says about homeschooling in your state, since every state has different laws.

    http://www.hslda.org/hs/state/default.as...

And find out if your parent's are even willing to homeschool you.

To define for you, homeschooling is when you or your parents take charge of what you study and when study it, you do this independent of the Public School system... you don't have to turn your work into them or anything... and when you graduate your parent issues a homeschool diploma, writes up your transcripts, and everything.

Home studies is usually done through the Public School system, you take the work they assign, do at home, and usually meet with a teacher once a week to turn it in, see how you are doing, and get the next week's assignments.

In many states home studies are reserved for those with health issues that prevent them from attending school, but homeschooling can be done by anyone.

  5. I completely disagree with the poster who said that just remaining miserable in a place you hate is good practice for real life! I shudder to think what that person's idea of a "real" life is. Part of being mature and responsible is knowing when you need to try something else. You are not lazy, you are not running away. You are searching for a system that works. Way to pull yourself up by your own bootstraps kid! Good for you!

I highly recommend homeschool. You may find that you are not lazy, you are frustrated or bored. Homeschool is challenging, but also more interesting. (It is whatever you and your parents make it.) Tons of homeschoolers get into universities. I say show the folks you are serious by creating a small research portfolio right away. If you don't get the hang of it or if you hate it and go back; At least you tried.

  6. I love school, and I'm in the same age group.  Why do you hate school? Can't handle the stress? (It's gonna be a lot harder in the real world.) Most people who hate school are just not really organized and stuff.  Maybe you just have to get yourself on track. Listen, if you do home schooling, I bet it's going to be a lot harder to get into a good college. Don't think about today's pain, but think about your future.
