  1. As the other users have said, anthropology is the study of mankind and its physical transitions. Studying bones found in different parts of the world to tell what kinds of conditions the person lived in, things like that. I find it very interesting as well. I work at a library and I see all sorts of bone books, so maybe if you went to your local library, look up something about early man or something like that. Good luck with your studies!

  2. Forget Wikipedia go to http://www.archaeological.org/ this will tell you everything you need to know. I'm a recent anthropology student. Just graduated. If you like the subject you can do almost anything. I'm into Archaeology.

  3. basically, anthropology is the study of people. if youre serious about it, even though youre still young, you might want to start contacting universities and colleges that offer anthropology degrees to see if they have a forensic concentration. because i guarantee you will need a college degree to get a job like that. you might even need to get a PhD

  8. Michelle, my wife is also named Michelle, is a forensic anthropologist. She takes bones and reconstructs crimes with nothing but bones. She can tell crazy stuff by just the bones like age, s*x, cause of death, and whether or not they played sports. It's really interesting...and sometimes kind of creepy!

  9. Anthropology is the study of humankind.  Academically, it falls under four main areas of study:  1 - physical anthropology (evolution, forensics, sociobiological behavior, etc...) 2 - cultural anthropology (religion, kinship, values, beliefs, etc...)  3 - linguistics (languages and language development)  4 - archaeology (human activity studied based on the materials left behind).  Have fun studying anthropology - its lots of fun!
