  1. Anti-matter is precisely the same as matter *except* the two have opposite electrical charges.

  2. There is  (of course) more matter than anti-matter. Anti matter is the oppsotie of matter as in it must bond to matter for it to be created. This seems weir di no but it just is it helps to create space and base for matter to form

  3. matter atoms contain electrons with negative charge, anti-matter contains positrons that's positive

  4. Anti-matter consists of particles, just like regular matter. There are "opposite" particles corresponding to normal particles. For example, the anti-matter equivalent of an electron is a positron. It has a charge of +1, weighs the same as an electron. The anti-matter version of a proton is an anti-proton. It has a charge of -1, weighs the same as a proton. Scientists have succeeded in making anti-hydrogen, with a positron bound to an anti-proton. There are anti-matter equivalents to all known matter, including neutrons, mesons, kaons, various bosons, etc.

For reasons unknown to science, the universe consists almost exclusively of regular matter with almost no anti-matter. There is no known reason why this should be the case. In the initial creation (the "Big Bang") there should have been virtually equal quantities of matter and anti-matter, and most of it annihilated each other, but a small surplus of matter survived.
