  1. Urea, ammonium sulfate, anhydrous ammonia, the nitrate form (calcium nitrate), or a combination of both (ammonium nitrate, calcium ammonium nitrate.

  3. Nitrogen-rich fertilisers are applied to crops.  Look up the Nitrogen cycle in Wikipedia or elsewhere.
