What is appropriate to wear at my first high school dance?

I want to wear something that's me and it stands out from the regulars. Something cool and flirty too.

I'm very tomboyish....so not a lot of pink plz.

If you are very tomboyish, you should wear a dark patterned dress.  You should break out of your tomboyish self and embrace yourself as the girl you are. Add some flats or gladiators. Here is an idea;

well what kind of dance is it? I usually wear jeans and a really cute top to my dances, or a dress to the formal dances. wear something thats comfortable to dance in too
