What is appropriate to wear?

My boyfriend is taking me out to dinner for our one year. We prefer the food at the house of embers in wisconsin dells but would a cream colored dress that is a little bit above the knee with heels be too dressy? otherwise our other choice was the kamiski bros chop house. thanks =)

Unless it's some dive or honky-tonk (which those places certainly aren't), I don't think you'll be overdressed at all.

While I live in Wisconsin and have been to that area, I don't think I have ever eaten at either one of those places. They sound like normal Wisconsin supper clubs though and these days just about anything goes for dressing. I think what you have chosen will be just fine.

Another important rule is not to out or under dress your date. Make sure he is wearing something that won't clash with your outfit. In other words, he shouldn't be wearing jeans or shorts or something like that.

i dont know the place your talking about but maybe wear a nice pair of jeans and a nice top with maybe a nice pair of flats or soemthing.

i don't know how dressy this place is so im kind of just going for something casual but nice.

it sounds like a very nice outfit, i havn't heard of those restuarents before. but i think it would like nice, if you feel it is to fancy go with lower heels. or flats depending on the dress. but it sounds like a lovely outfit :]

yes i agree with ann , the most important thing is that you feel good in what ur wearing and remember its a special occasion
