I believe you mean "causes of". In the case of endangered animals, one would be the scientifically unproven but conditioned belief in the transference of an animal's certain attributes, such as prowess, strength, vigor, etc. to an individual (human) by consuming a part of the animal, such as the p***s or a horn, which for years has caused a variety of animals, whose numbers have dwindled considerably, to be traded illegally because of these superstitious beliefs. Another is decimation of habitat, i.e., cutting down trees in rainforests which displace and kill animal and plant species. Overfishing (especially where it concerns industrial fishing) depletes fisheries and makes it extremely difficult for some species that procreate more slowly, such as sharks, to maintain viable populations and in turn cause other species to overpopulate and do more damage to an eco-system, because the balance is disturbed.

Every species have its importance in nature and their effect after their extinction differs.  

1. The species on which they (endangered species) are dependent for food will flourish extravagantly.  

2. Endangered species may be helpful in propagation and reproduction of some other species (pollination, seed dispersal, breaking of seed cover, etc….), if they get extinct those species will also come in danger zone.  

3. Last but not least one important creation of god will get extinct, one more species again only in books and pictures.
