Are all the planets in the universe sphere-like-shape ? or there are other shapes???

If all the planets in the universe are sphere-like-shape what do you think they suggest?and why all the UFOs looked like that?? they looked very different than our spacecraft, maybe shape is a big knowledge

  1. If they are what we call planets, then they are spherical, by definition.  This doesn't mean they're perfect spheres, since almost all planets would rotate, causing some bulging at the equator.

What is suggested by the spherical shape of planets is that gravity works.

I don't know what you mean by UFOs. How do they relate to this question?

    "Big knowledge"?

  2. Not really - any body of sufficient mass tends to assume a spherical shape because that's the most ergonomically effective form.  It's physics, not some cosmic riddle.

  3. yes, "The definition of the word 'planet' was recently agreed upon by the International Astronomical Union. A planet is now a celestial body that: (a) is in orbit around the Sun, (b) has sufficient mass for its self-gravity to overcome rigid body forces so that it assumes a hydrostatic equilibrium (nearly round) shape, and (c) has cleared the neighborhood around its orbit."

The nearly round shape means an approximate sphere. objects which are not spherical will probably not be considered planets but asteroids.

  4. the shape of planets corraspond to how gravity attracts objects, from all sides.

and UFO are more often than not argued from ignorance "i don't know what this is there for its an alien space craft."
