I was just wondering what exactly back labor is? Do you still feel the contractions in your abdomen? I am in no way saying I am in labor, but I'm 39w2d and I feel like my back is about to explode outward! Any how, any information will be great! Thanks in advance!

  1. Back labor is when the baby's head pushes against the sciatic nerve, it hurts like a bit*h.  Yes, you will still feel the contractions as it involves your whole abdomen.  The baby could presently be pressing against your sciatic nerve without you being in labor, the baby may dropped and is in place.

  2. I think it's when you feel most of the pain in your back? You should Google it and find out.
