  1. Most will avoid a salvage title.  You will have a difficult time find an insurance company that will give you basic coverage.  No one will give you extended coverage or collision coverage.  If someone hits and destroys your car, and it's their fault, their insurance will only give you around 50% of the fair market value because of the branded title.  If you're looking for a parts car, and the price is right, it can be a good deal.  If you are looking for something to drive, avoid salvage titles.

  2. One the resale valued is decreased badly and also insurance companies are pretty strict on salvage title cars as well as borrowing money to buy the car. Really think hard before you buy this vehicle because 9 out of 10 times once you buy it you are basically stuck with it. The salvage title will follow the vehicle always

  3. make sure you really look it over and i would advise a vehix saftey report on it. An r title is a vehicle that was junked and then rebuilt. you can get them way cheaper than a clear titled car but make sure everything works good. check the frame and maybe even bring a mechanic friend with you to look at one.

  4. It is very hard and expensive to insure.

Always check insurance quotes for such a car _before_ buying one, for example here: http://autoinsurance.undonet.com

  5. The price you can sell it for is always well below average market. Also, unless you have a good mechanic give it a thorough inspection, you may be buying a car which was reconstructed unsafely. Some have been found which had a rear section from a different year welded on and welded very poorly.
