  1. Everything from raping young girls and boys to stealing money.  They want to be the only government in the world.  to have total control over your life from cradle to grave.

  2. It is a corrupt organization who is attempting to bring about one world government through it's actions and sub organizations, such as GATT, WTO, IAEA, WHO, so on and so forth. Once they do this, then they will destroy any rights that people haven't had stolen yet, while turning the world into a police state. The only hope is to disband this organization as quickly as possible, while putting the leaders on trial in their own countries.

  3. the UN stands for absoulutly nothing, they have no power , their rules and regulations are not under kind of protection agency or any sort of international policy. they're like a library when there is internet.

  4. What's bad about the UN is that there's only one. it needs competition!

  5. It is a collection of worthless gov types,  Since Korea they have done nothing but be a stage for misfits and idiots.  GWB does whatever he wants just like all the other despots in the world and the UN does nothing.  I suspect largely because the US foots the bill.  What other job pays so well, allows you to be above the law (diplomatic immunity, live in the greatest city on earth, and most of all be on TV!!!!!!

  6. There are a multitude of United Nations Agencies that do very good work in the nuclear, environmental,  health, humanitarian and cultural areas to name a few.  It is a shame that some of the failures in the more sensitive political areas gives the UN a bad name and the hostility shown in some of the answers to this question. It must be remembered that the UN can only operate effectively with the support and resources authorised and provided by member countries, and if this is not forthcoming - the crisis in Darfur is a case in point - then the UNs hands are tied behind its back. Any large organisation will have its problems and failures - just look at any national government to see the truth of that.

  7. For the millionth time:

    They are corrupt

They are the perfect Organized Crime group.

    They are anti-American

    They are anti-Israel

    They fuel racial tension

They are toothless (They pass resolutions but don't back them up)

    They are greedy

They do nothing to prevent wars

They do nothing about genocide (They even fan the flames when they actually get involved)

  8. What Gumby said, plus the fact that we support them.  I think they would be a fine organization if they would move someplace else, we withdrew from them, and we didn't support them.

Then they could make any kind of resolution they wanted, and it wouldn't cost us anything.

It seems to me that it is, more than anything else, an organization which we support so that they can spend their time micromanaging our foreign policy, and spouting anti American propaganda.

They seem to be very good at biting the hand that feeds them.

The original purpose of the UN was a nice idea, but a very naive one.  It was to be a place where disputes could be solved before there was a war.  Now it is a propaganda machine, and we are the favorite target.

  9. A vastly rich group of people debating poverty over agreeable lunches.

A club of tyrants allied to freely elected presidents for mutual prestige.

A talking-shop about agriculture while millions starve to death.

All the armed force in the world watching small-time bandits cause civil wars.

A collective excuse for national vices.

Badly-poured cocktails and a complete absence of trouser presses.

  10. Gumby and Pelagius summed it up pretty well.

What is good about the U.N.? I can't think of anything.
