  1. That's pretty warm. I swam at an outdoor meet once where the temperature was over 100 everyday. It was awful, my cap even melted onto the deck it was so hot. The pool had to open up every so often to let swimmers get in and cool off again, slowing down the meet. Then there are the parents, volunteers, and other spectators who can't really get in the pool.

However, I know swim meets are held in hot weather conditions all over the country so I can't say whether or not to cancel. If it goes on you will have to make sure that there is plenty of shade and water available to everyone at the meet.

  2. bad weather would be lighthing, thundering, hail, but rain dosent really matter and the hot temp. is good.

  3. swimmeet?

  4. no dont cancel

  5. no. i think the only reason u cancel a meet is because of lightning. i swim in texas and it gets over 100 all the time.

  6. Only cancel if there is a threat of lightning.
