  1. When comparing individual health insurance plans in Colorado, keep in mind that an apples to apples comparison is nearly impossible. However, Colorado regulations require that carriers provide you with a standard format "Colorado Health Benefit Plan Description Form" that is specific to Colorado. You will find them posted under "forms library" at the link below.

With all of the different options there are about 400 policies to choose from, and the policy that best fits your needs may not work for someone else.  It also depends on what part of the state you live in.

It will take you hours to sort through all of the information available. It will only take me minutes to help you narrow down your choices. Feel free to ask.

  2. There is no one best and most reasonable health insurance plan. Plan A may best best if you are 25 and Plan B may be best if you are 55. Plan C may be best if you have kids. Plan D may be best if you have minor pre-existing conditions and Plan E if you have major pre-existing conditions.

The easiest way to find the best plan for your situation and budget is to visit a local agent that works with all the major plans. The agent can find the best plan for you in a few minutes where it will take you several days to compare. There is no extra charge using an agent.
