  1. adobe photo shot

    and

    picasa

  2. Well, there are two used by professionals, that can really be used by beginners alike. The name of the two softwares are

    1) Photoshop

    2) Lightroom

However, they are not free, but you need them in editing raw and enhancing JPEG images, you won't be dissapointed with these two softwares

  3. Photoshop (learn it, ace it, master it, keep it, take it, get it, and a must have).  There is nothing that can compare to all the possibilities Photoshop has.

  4. What are you trying to do?  I'm one of those photographers who doesn't mess up  my pictures in Photoshop or anything like that.  All I need is a good file manager (Directory Opus) and a file converter (IrfanView).  Both are free.

  5. adobe photoshop is what i started on... it has a lot of things you can do and it is fairly easy to use... the only problem is that it is expensive so if you go to adobe.com you can download a 30 day trial... there is a lot of different photoshops, i recommend either 6.0 elements but cs3 is the newest and i believe has just as much as 6.0 does

  6. go with photoshop, it's easy to use, and easily "found".
