  1. chicklets - ha ha! i don't care who you are, that's funny!

  2. it depends where you go, they take dollars in cancun and cozumel but they only take pesos in the rest of the country so if i were you i would use only pesos

  3. It depends on where you are.  Border towns and some of the main tourist spots accept the US dollar, no problem.  For other places (like Guadalajara or other cities and towns within the country) it's better to have pesos.  An ATM will do the trick if you don't want to look for money exchange.

  4. Dollars are widely accepted everywhere in Cancun, Cozumel, Riviera Maya, Puerto Vallerta, Cabo but some of the small towns may not. The answer is depends where you will be traveling or where you come from.

If you live in Europe and Canada I would convert to pesos if you can, if not convert to dollars. Americans can use the dollars.

    Good Luck)

  5. There may only be one choice in the near future.

  6. The currency in Mexico is pesos. Most of the small towns in Mexico will only take pesos from tourists. However, bigger cities and popular tourists places like Cozumel, Cancun and so on will give tourist prices in pesos and dollars.

  7. It's better to use pesos because even though in some few cities they accept dollars they make the convertion to pesos that favours them and you always lose more money than if you exchange your dollars to pesos.
