What is best for a 40th birthday?

was thinking of a sit down meal in a nice bistro I love for all my family and close friends.....

I don;t fancy boozing it up in pubs...that isn';t me......

for my husbands 40th i done him a surprise party, and he re-payed me it back on mine, but i would have gone for a nice meal with my family otherwise

As it's your Birthday, chose what you would like to do. The Bistro sounds nice.

When it was my 40th, it happened to also be my children's 18th and 21st,

all within a feew weeks of each other,

As i had never been abroad, we all booked up for a holiday in Greece and celebrated our birthdays out there.

It will be a birthday i will never forget.

If we did not go there, i would of had a meal out, as i can not be bothered with crowded pubs and clubs.

Hmmm. You have lots and lots of options, mate. And when a sheila is having a 40th birthday, it is up to them to make up a desicion. But for guess: If you're thinking of a sit-down meal, why don't you try a nice catered choice. Maybe from your favorite Italian resturant. Or if you would like a more traditional meal, what about something...Irish. That it also a good choice. By the way, where are you from? I'm an Aussie native.
