  1. Heey actually AVAST,NORTON,MCAFEE are all giants in this field but ther;s a new kid on the block KASPERSKY,try it,it works

    njoy

  2. Norton has subscription expiry date, and you will need to renew (which means spending money).

Download and install Spyware Terminator. It has real-time protection from both viruses and spyware. It is ClamAV (anti-virus) integrated. ClamAV detects more than 40,000 threats which is outstanding already. Spyware Terminator can scan and remove, immunize, quarantine, update automatically, and much more features. It has several powerful shields that block highly dangerous threats. Also, it comes with the Crawler Toolbar that has a Web Security Guard which repel threats before they enter your computer. This has the caliber any other popular paid (non-free) internet security suites possess. The good part, it is absolutely FREE!!!

To download and for more information, go to www.spywareterminator.com. Enjoy an extremely good protection. Bring your computer to a new generation of safety and privacy. Thanks.

  3. The best protection is to navigate smart on the internet ;)

  4. BITDEFENDER TOTAL SECURITY 2008

KASPERSKY ANTIVIRUS 2009 AND INTERNET SECURITY 2009

    AVG

  5. Avast Antivirus (or NOD32)+ Spybot Search and Destroy AntiSpyware

Take this from a software geek :)

  6. I would say AVG 8 Free which can be downloaded at http://free.avg.com/ww.download-avg-anti... . However, you will be needing to uninstall or remove Norton from your computer first before downloading and installing this program.

  7. Avast! is quite the resource drainer. So if you don't have a pretty powerful machine I would steer clear. I use AVG and SpyBot Search and Destroy. Works pretty well.

  8. Best Internet security suite.

BitDefender Internet Security 2008 is the best integrated security program (which includes antivirus protection, a firewall, spam filtering, spyware protection and more), according to the most reviews. The suite has always had a fine reputation for preventing malware, but the previous version was one of the worst offenders at slowing computers, and user control was awkward. Reviews say the program is considerably improved in those regards. Early user reviews are more favorable than those for most competitors. A similar product, BitDefender Total Security 2008 (*est. $60) includes all the components of the base program, with the addition of maintenance and backup software.

    Most popular Internet security suite.

More than half of the security programs sold carry the Norton name. Norton Internet Security 2008 benefits from brand comfort and rebate promotions, and the most credible reviewers say the new version is the best in its class as well. Norton is ranked among the best in preventing viruses and spyware in all tests. The major issue with Norton is that it will not work properly on many computers. While this problem plagues all security suites to some extent, user reviews report more trouble with Norton than others. Slowing is not as much a problem as it used to be.

    Budget Internet security suite.

According to reviews, the main strengths of Panda Internet Security 2008 are antivirus and firewall protection. However, opinions of its spam filtering, anti-spyware and parental-control components are only fair. Still, many users may not need those features. In that case, Panda is a good value, and like its Norton and BitDefender competitors, the license covers three computers. It is also just as effective as its competitors at preventing the major types of malware. Spam filtering is the big weak point in reviews, but if you already have a good spam filter, you may not need more than Panda Internet Security.

  9. I'd go with AVG free.

The provided link is the direct download.

  10. AVG AntiVirus is excellent. I find it better than Norton since I've had numerous problems with Norton (such as internet browsers failing to work...). It also has a malware scanner built in it.

    Get it at www.download.com

  11. AVG seems pretty good

  12. http://www.pctools.com/wbc/

    go to that ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

make up a random email address that u wont use again..

but u'll probly need to verify some ****... i cant remember... i've done it b4 and it works perfectly and is free too :D
