What is best thing to do with a found lottery ticket that is a winner?

I found a lotto ticket and have been watching for some to claim in the new paper and local magazines and no one has. Its worth 387K. What should I do? Turn in to the police. Its not signed and needs to be claimed....

Come on, just claim the prize... and if you feel that bad give it to charity, that will be a good thing to do if you feel you don't deserve the money... Like on "My name is Earl" do it for Karma

I feel bad for the person who lost it, I mean I've bought some before and it would suck to realiz that it was the winning ticket and i had lost it.

But I mean there is not much you can do.  

You could wait for someone to say something, but then you wouldn't know if it was really their ticket.

MAybe go back to the place you found it ( if you remember). Just don't tell people you have a winning ticket or anything because some could falsly claim it's theirs.

other than that just turn it in and get the money...you found the ticket and no one has claimed it.  Pretty lucky to find one that's a winner!

and if you feel guilty about taking the money, you can always donate money to a charity or something.

wow...i wish i had that type of luck!

if you really feel guilty about taking it, then just don't cash it, but you have to keep in mind that because it's not signed, there would be no way of knowing if the person claiming it was theirs was telling the truth or lying.

if word got out that someone found a winning lottery ticket for that amount of money and was waiting for someone else to claim it, then there would be mass pandamonium...

oh and one last thing...make sure that it's for the right drawing...there was one time my aunt thought she'd won quite a bit of money but discovered it was really for the week prior!

Claim it before, the deadline! because if you don't, nobody can,(You Have The Ticket), then , Everyone loses, once again to the "lottery"...

& if you want to find the people who lost it, maybe post an ad in a local paper or something, letting people know that you have found something someone has lost, and if someone lost something, to call you and describe it... dont say what it is, let them tell you...that way nobody can get shifty over it...
