What is best way to fix peeling paint on side molding of Hyundai Sonata

Question

It's too expensive to paint the whole car. Will it match if just the molding is painted? Can the whole molding strip be replaced?

Need easiest and cheapest way.

My Sonata does the same thing on the right rear door moulding - it's a small chip about an inch long and about 1/4 inch wide - i have to be careful at the carwash, cause the nozzle can strip the paint more. My car came with the "Touch up" small paint bottle, so i just lightly sand and feather the edges of the small nicks , and brush some paint in there. You can probably find the small bottles of exact color at your local auto parts store.

Yes, Yes, Yes.  The bodyshop can remove the molding itself and then sand and repaint it, they can match the color via the paint code, it will look brand new again for about $100 or so.
