What is beta club??????????

i was sitting in class and they called some kids out of class and i was one of them and they gave us some invitation thing asking us to be in beta but the problem is i don't know what it is so what is beta and what do you do in it?? is it fun?

I am the President of my Beta Club at school and I can tell you exactly what it's about, it's a program that chooses children with potential leadership skills and helps them develop them by opening up opportunities for them. We do projects, we help around the community and we even have fund raisers and we also do public speaking. The Beta Club is an excellent program and anybody should be honored to be apart of it.
