  1. That is a question up for debate like HD-DVDs and blu-ray DVDs. It depends on who you listen to and what your listening preferences are. But to me the deciding factor is that HDTV has adapted Dolby Digital as their standard  for sound.

  2. Dolby has always been reliable to me and the sound is so gr8 go for Dolby it owns !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. I would recommend Dolby Digital, it sounds clear and normal.

I would use wider-screen TV format too..

  4. Dts is definitely the better option, it has less compression than DD and has an overall wider bandwidth for a more realistic soundtrack reproduction. Some purist defending DD will say Dts has just been recorded louder, but I am certain this is not the case.

  5. DTS is better

created four years after DD, and made specially for movies with kick *** soundtracks.

  6. I would give a slight edge to the DTS format but they both sound good. If you have a properly set up 5.1 system the overall effects on these systems is awesome.
