  1. There isn't much difference between 720p and 1080i just that the P means progressive meaning it updates twice as fast and the i means it updates every other frame.  So basically if you are playing fast paced games such as Madden other sports/racing games stick with 720p because it will be less blurry, but if you are playing more slow paced games like RPGs or puzzle games ect. stick with 1080i it will look better

  2. There will be absolutely NO advantage to running your XBOX at 1080i since your TV's native resolution is 720p (1366 x 768). Running your XBOX at 1080i will only require your TV to down-scale the input video to its native resolution (720p). Also, de-interlacing is difficult for most TVs and usually results in an inferior picture quality. This is why most broadcasters have elected to broadcast HD content at 720p, NOT 1080i.

  3. 720p.  1080i will be downscaled.

  4. 1080i has better resolution but is more likely to have image flicker since it is interlaced (i stands for interlaced); use 1080i if there is no bothersome flicker. Otherwise go for the 720p (p means progressive).
