What is better - Mini Pill (Prostogen only pill) or Depo Provera in terms on NOT gettin acne as a side affect?

Ok i was on Depo Provera for 3 mnths but I was puttin on weight from it so I came off this and went on to the Mini Pill which Ive heard can cause acne, so which is better in everyones experience? Ive only jus started takin the pill so im unsure whether ill have any side affects but if i do i wanna come of it.

Who else experienced acne with the pill? please help!

ive been on depo for 4yrs and at first i did put on weight but gradually it stopped.i have also taken mini pill which i didnt mind  but i forgot to take it sometimes which isnt a good idea.i thought the pill was given to some people to treat acne but im not sure.think about what you dont want the most -acne or an unwanted pregnancy.

Its different for everyone. Still I loved being on ortho tri-cycline lo. It was the best. Worked like a charm as long as you take it right and didnt gain weight or get acne. If you have a child though, or once you do have one go for Mirena. I got it after I had my son and its the best decison Ive ever made. For now though you can try out different pills and see what works best. Like I said though I loved the ortho-trycycline lo.

BTW I didnt get prego while on the pill ... when I was on it it worked amazingly!!! Didnt get pregnant until I went off it.

Well I'm on the pill and its called Loestrin and i haven't put no weight on or developed acne.

i dont know much about the mini pill,  but I got the depo provera shot a year ago after having my daughter and not only did it give me acne, ( and Ive never gotten acne, ive always had clear skin)  I also put on more weight than i had while being pregnant and it made me feel super depressed, I dont recommend that shot.. i felt 100 percent better once it had finally gotten out of my system.  how old are you,  have u looked into IUD's  .. they dont have hormones and wont cause acne or weight gain..

my dermatologist told me YAZ or orthotricyclin is best for the skin. YAZ is not known to cause the weight gain other pill and hormone birth control methods do.
