360 cuz if u are buying a gaming console then it shud be able to play games well and it doesn't matter whether it has a blu ray capability or not. so xbox360 has everything a gamer wud want in his/her console i.e. a vibrating joystick with a good grip and easy controls, great games like forza which are only available on 360.

so 360 is much better than ps3

its like asking which is better, cats or dogs....different people have different views, and there is no actual answer, it all depends on you, and what you prefer, the 360 or the ps3.....I hav a ps3 btw.....

For multimedia - PS3

For online gaming - 360 (but 360s break a lot which sucks, the newer ones don't break as much as the older ones though.)

True, PS3 has the blue ray player to back it up, big plus there since the HD DVD seems to be dead.  However, I have much better experience with the 360, I find the controller much simpler to pick up for people who have never played it, the online community seems to be better.  I would go with the 360.
