Recently, I have been searching to buy a pro-level tennis racquet and have not decided on which one yet. However, I am inclined to choose between the two and hope someone can give me some reviews or suggestions.

  1. To start, I recommend the C-10 Pro 98 if you're really good, strong, precise and have a fast swing. (Any REALLY good player could grow into this racquet)

However, we own a tennis store in Dayton, OH and out of the Volkl fans who've demoed both, we get more positive feedback on the DNX 10 over the C-10 Pro.

I've demoed them both, and the C-10 Pro 98 hits like I dream if you're pretty strong, and tuned as a player.

I see guys that can really sock it with this piece.

But I feel like I play great with it for a while, before losing some form and racquet speed.

If you're beginning or returning to the game, it may be more like a big awkward tree branch that makes your arm feel dead after 20 minutes... than a dream.

The DNX 10 is easier to handle, it feels lighter in the head, and does a bit more work for you, especially if you get a Mid-Plus.

Just know that a slightly larger head can totally change your outlook on the technolgy.

A Mid-Plus would be more forgiving, and you should always give it a chance with any racquet.

Whenever someone comes in for a demo of a "players racquet" like those Volkls, we also send him/her out the door with the other head size(s) to compare.

    Hope we helped!

  2. I tried both and bought the Volkl DNX 10 Mid 93. It felt very solid and well manufactured. A great frame. Much better than the 98 which seemed like an entirely different manufacturer made it. It was great on slice both forehand and backhand and once I got used to the weighting was decent on serves. My one handed topspin back hand was off and not as crisp as with the Wilson Ntour 95 or now with the Kfactor Tour 90's. Overall a really good racquet and I'm sure you will be impressed. You may need to get used to it or even do some dumbbell weight training to help. I was smoking my hitting partner for the warmup, 1st set and half of the 2nd. Then my arm seemed to give out which it never did with the Wilsons.
