What is better and why?

I prefer dvd-r cause it plays on most dvd players, with dvd+r you are more limited. x*x

Most players these days are happy with either format. And I can't see any difference in the quality of the recordings.

But I prefer DVD+R simply because they finalise much quicker! It always seems an iterminable time when you are sitting waiting for a DVD-R to finalise.
