What is better business studies or economics?

It depends on your interest. If you want a more broad base qualification, business is the choice. If you want to become an economist, you must really interested in economics, as advance economic concepts can be quite demanding, especially econometrics which requires very strong economic intuition + mathematical and statistical background. Only pure interest can lead you to somewhere in economics, as personally I find it the key factor in motivating me forward in pursuing the subject.
