  1. i'd probably go for the cannondale. they make good, high quality bikes and lots of them. Trek are also good, but in my history, i'd choose cannondale

  2. Too general of a question.   Each make great bikes.   Comparing a specific model to another is a better question to axe.

  3. my two cannondales.  the frames are made in america

  4. I ride a Trek 1200. Not top of the line but I love it.  by reputation Cannondale is a terrific bike.  Test ride them both and choose for youself. You can't go wrong either way.

  5. It depends on the model, the components and the price.

  6. though cannondale is a good bike, i lean towards trek. and i agree with most everyone on here, your probably not going to go wrong with either brand, get the one that best suits you and how you ride.

  7. I am not sure if you are aware, but that is and EXTREMELY general question. thats like asking whos better jessica alba or carmen electra? your gonna be happy with either one you choose! but seriously you need to look at the quality of the brakes, components, weight (dont compromise though), price, etc. brand doesnt mean much.

  8. to me trek bikes rock

  9. For you?

Only the very best will do.

The Trek Madone is best, by far::: http://www.trekbikes.com/madone/

  10. Iceberg243 is right. The answer is the bike that fits you best and has the best components. While companies all brag about being better than one another, it really boils down to fit and component offerings per model. High end bikes are all good quality bikes.

  11. OMG, this is not like shopping for a car where there's pretty much Ford, Chevy, Toyota, Honda .... there are so many great bikes out there!

Do you want mountain? Hybrid? Fixie? Road? Touring? Unicycle?

Trek and Cannondale both make great bikes and what he said - Cannondale is made in US

but so do Mercier, Waterford (also US made), GT, Electra, Gary Fisher, Rivendel, Motobecane, Kona (very fond of their bikes!), Pinarello, Raleigh, Surley, Burly, Terry, Luna, Mercien, Specialized, Bianchi, Santa Cruz, Davidson .... my fiancee and I have 7 bikes, none of them the same company, none of them Trek or Cannondale  ..... I could go on and on there are hundreds (really!!) of great bikes out there. People, have some imagination.

Go to your LBS, tell them what kind of riding you want to do and test ride some bikes.  Find the one that fits you.
