What is better computer or mechatronics engineering??? and which one has more job opportunities???

  1. Based on this Wikipedia web page, your best bet is to understand "Mechatronics".  It not only incorporates Computer Engineering, but all of the other tactile engineering industries as well.  Check out the diagram on this same web page.

    Same goes for job opportunities.  Most of my software programming friends from the 1990's have seen a drop from 10-50% of their salary, while my mechanical engineering friends have gone up 25-50% of their salary.  Mind you, Computer Engineers (CE) were paid very well during the 1990's and Mechanical Engineers (ME's) weren't.  The tide is turning.

    I suspect there would be more opportunities if you held a  "Mechatronics" background.  I started as a ME in the 1980's and changed over to robotics & automation during the 1990's.  Now (the 00's) I am a Software Engineer.
