  1. wildlife of course! because we can live without constructions but we can't like without wildlife!! although some people don't see that.. I know we are killing them but.. what can we do when people just don't care about them. But i will promise to help them when i graduate. You should too. We have to fight for them!

  2. do you live in a house, or a cave.  If you live in anything other than a hole in the ground, thank a construction company and quite being a hypocrite.

  3. Well...not always.  I think a great deal of construction is harmful, but in the last few years we have been doing a much better job at using recycled materials; developing wise zoning laws; protecting animal passage ways and riparian systems; and applying "for the greater good" principles when deciding if undeveloped property can be used.

Your right in that this had been stunningly harmful to wildlife for decades (if not centuries), but I think things are getting better.

I worked with the DNR this past summer at the Tripod Complex Fire in Washington State.  At one point we had to pull crews off a key part of the fire line and move them south to a new section of the fire -- the protocol is that people and property always come first and this part of the fire was closing in on some summer homes.

We saved the homes (rich people should have their summer homes protect), but lost three fields of alpine meadow in the process.  If I had know that was going to happen I would have refused to go -- stay and protect the meadows instead.

  5. The human race basically only cares about the human race and has little regard for other species.  We always step in to 'keep nature in balance' and yet feel it's alright to over-populate ourselves.  Mans greed will be his own undoing.

  6. This is a classic example of the logical fallacy known as a false dilemma.  There are in fact more than just the two choices presented.  For example, a very reasonable answer would be that they are equally important.

  7. Construction has definately affected wildlife where I live. There are too many people! The poor deer and other wildlife are starving because they are forced to live in smaller and smaller lots. Way too much construction! We need more respect for our wildlife and our land!

  8. Do you think about this when you go to the shopping mall or restaurant? How about when you go to sleep at night in your air conditioned home?
