What is better for a beginner the cobra speed ld, or the ping G10? and why?

i'm starting up at golf and although I know how to hit a ball quite well etc. I dont really want to spend to much on a driver that is hard to use can someone help please.

ping g10, cobra is for pretty good players, same with g10, but cobra has higher moi. (moment of interia) makes it more forgiving.

This is an easy one. I think that the Ping G10 is ur choice because its WAY more forgiving and when ur a beginner all you need is forgiveness. After you start hitting more than 200 yds. and on the sweet spot msot of the time, u can invest on a Taylor Made or Callaway or even Cobra but for now stick to the G10. (this is my opinion dont critisize me) ;)

Both of those clubs are gonna cost you a bundle. I would suggest going to a store with a cage or a course with a driving range and hitting a few balls. Most dealers have demo clubs the best way to know whats better is to hit them.

Start the game with a 12 degree driver.Brand? 97 percent of clubs are better than 97 percent of golfers.Brand? who cares if u can hit it.

ping g10 i have one and love it when you hit it on the heel or toe you still have about the same distance as is if it was in the middle

It totally depends on your style.  I have tried both of these drivers at my local Golf Town and personally liked the Cobra because it was a smoother club.  Whn hitting the G10, it makes it feel like the club is bouncing backwards, followed by an incredibly far drive.

If you want smoothness, go for the Cobra.  If you want that extra 20-30 yards, go for the Ping.  The retail prices are just in the $335 neighborhood so that doesn't matter much...

I feel a Ping G10 is more reliable and allows mis-hits. I'd demo both to see what you feel comfortable with but I feel a Cobra would be too much club to control for a beginner
