  1. For what?

Drag strip (acceleration) or top end power?

  2. For that car a supercharger would be much better. Turbos work better for little engines for keeping lots of power with high revs. I also think the whine sound from a supercharger sounds better than a turbo lol

  3. Turbo, they always make more horsepower than superchargers per lb of boost. Reason being that turbos use wasted energy (exhaust pressure) to make power rather than drawing power from the engine via a belt.

  4. depends on what you are looking for. if you just want cheap easy power sometimes just put nitrous oxide on it. run the p**s out of it then replace the engine with a stroker 383  then you will feel the power. and them if you want more power put nos on it. good luck speedy

  5. you can use both, but being that your V8 mill doesnt rev so high, i'd use a supercharger for smooth power.

  6. The 305 is a week sister for starting either project. The cylinder heads don't breathe well, it has a cast crankshaft and cast pistons. The block and cylinder heads are of the thin wall casting design as a cost cutting area. Thin-wall castings absolutely hate any added heat which a turbocharger or supercharger will shovel straight at it. In either case you'll have to set the TBI on the shelf

Why not stick in a GM 350 or 383 crate motor? They both carry a two year 24,000 mile warranty.
