What is better for my first 2 stroke KTM or Yamaha?

if you are going to race enduro's, I would recommend the KTM exc line......

For woods...KTM all the way. The KTM 250XC-W is their best selling model. If you decide to go with the 200 do not get the W model. The wide ratio tranny does not lend itself well to the 200 engine. I will say in Yamaha's defense that many A and AA riders prefer the YZ250. Of course you have to add a larger tank, skid plate and flywheel weight. When I finally make the transition from MX to woods I'll definitely be on a KTM, but most likely a 4 stroke. One more thing worth mentioning. If your races are dead engine start the KTM has another benefit. The 2008 250XC-W has electric start. This is the first 2 stroke race bike I know of with e-start.
