Its not even close. The Prius gets much better gas mileage. If I was in the market for a car, I would also include price of the car since we are talking about $$. The Hoda Fit is a very good car for the $$ and gets good gas mileage

Don't be fooled - it's NOT the Smart Car. Recent results are very disappointing.

Prius in a landslide -- it can get close to 50 mpg, Smart Car is nowhere near that.

Prius for city driving smart car for highway. Also a desil volswagon beetle bug (punch buggy or wahtever) has great highway mileage.

The answer may surprise you, but the "smart" car is fairly "stupid" when it comes to gasoline usage.  The Prius gets a LOT better mileage, and it does it with regular gas.  Guess what -- the "smart" car gets lower mileage, AND it needs PREMIUM gas!

Smart?  I think not.
