What is better skiing or snowboarding?

depends what your after.. i prefer cross country skiing and thats because i like to go aff exploring. usually got crampons, ice axe and climbing gear in my pack when i'm out too

Like everyone said, it's a personal preference. I am a professional ski racer, therefore I like skiing better. However, I understand when people say that you can't do as many tricks on skis, because it is true. I am not one of those people who hates snowboarders or snowboarding. I think as long as you are a good snowboarder who doesn't just sit in the middle of the hill, snowboarding is a great way to stay active and have fun in the winter. I also understand why snowboarders hate skiers who go so SLOW all the way across the hill. Both are great things to do during the winter if both groups do them right.

I think skiing without question, but everyone else in my family snowboards....

Since I do both, it's hard to say.  I've had days on the hill on my board when I wished I was on my skiis and vice versa.  Right now though, I mostly snowboard when I'm on my own or with other snowboarders of similar interest (I like to carve, not spin, jump, park, etc) and I'm on my skiis when I'm with my daughter.  Just works out better that way for now.

yeah, well i've skied and snowboarded and i was doing both at the same time for three years and then i was just like u kno what why bother with skiing? snowboarding is so much better. more fun. better crowd as well.

your going to get all bias answers.....it depends on which you are better at....Im a snowboarder that has never skiied so i love snowboarding and hate skiing....you can do different tricks with the different activities soo thats another thing to thiknk about

Snowboarding is definately cooler and you get to more playing around and tricks etc.!

Skiing believe it or not has more of an adreniline rush as you can go way faster!
