  1. they are the same stupid...

  2. Well laptop is the old name for notebooks. well I recommend you to buy notebooks just make sure the processor is T7200 or higher and if it runs VISTA make sure your Memory of Ram is 2Gigs or Higher don't get 1 gig or lower.

  3. The main difference between a laptop and a notebook is the size. The term laptop computer and notebook computer are used interchangeably today. During earlier evolutionary years of the technology's development, the term 'notebook' was often applied to the lightest weight and smallest units being created, but the units and terminology are now virtually the same. Mostly the term notebook is used for 14 inch or less.

I don't know what you would like to use this 'notebook' for, but I think the HP530 is pretty mediocre. You can get better value for money notebooks for that. BTW: this 'notebook' would be better classified as a 'laptop'.

  4. well isnt a laptop same as a notebook??

  5. They are the same thing really it's mainly just marketing. A notebook can sometimes be slightly smaller than your typical laptop but not always so yep, basically just marketing.

  6. Laptops, and notebooks are the same thing. Some people say lappy too.

  7. HP makes very good Laptops and HP 530 for around $650 is pretty good depends on your purpose of use.

If you could spend just little more you can get much better Laptops.
