  1. It doesn't matter how you cook your eggs to get the protein.

As for which parts of the egg to eat, eat the whole thing! The whole egg is healthy for you. Recent research has found that consuming cholesterol does not increase your cholesterol, but eating a diet high in saturated fat does. A couple of eggs in the morning will give you 4 grams of saturated fat, which is well under the healthy limit. What is more important is the high quality protein that you will be sacrificing by skipping over egg yolks.

  2. eat only the whites, they are pure protien, the yolks are pure fat.

  3. whole eggs are considered natures perfect protein.  while the white is fat and cholesterol free you are also missing out on most of the nutrients (vitamins and minerals) which are mostly contained in the yolk.  there is also more unsaturated fats than saturated fats in the yolk which means there is more heart healthy HDL than unhealthy LDL.

part of knowing how to eat healthy is to learn some basics about family history and medical problems.  if high cholesterol, heart problems (CVD), etc. run in your family then you would want to be more aware of the intake of saturated fats.

    * personally I consume about 4 whole eggs daily

  4. Like everybody is saying, just eat the white and leave the yellow aside.  You can buy egg whites in a  container.  It's all protein and good for you, yellow part is fatty.

  5. Are you talking about half-cooked eggs?  Soft boiled eggs?  Some people like them, but personally I would want mine cooked as hard/done as possible.  Runny eggs give me the willies.

  6. it doesn't matter if you eat the whole egg anyways. and egg is an egg no matter how you cook it.

however... the whites have less calories and fat and twice as much protein. here's the stats for you...

egg white- 17cals  0fats 4g protein trace amounts of carbs

    egg yolk- 60cals 5fats 2g protein and 6carbs

it all depends what you want because the fat from the yolk is good fats at least.

  7. Well, I think obviously eating the full boiled egg you are going to get more protien, obviously. 1/2 versus full - seems to make sense. I personally skip eating the yolks - its where alot of the cholestrol is and where your fats are. I eat quite a bit of egg whites during the day and has helped in my own weight loss/health successes. Best of luck to you!

  8. well you'll get more protein from the whole egg. half the egg = half the protein.
