I don't think it matters. You will be a puppet to the failure of a government, be sent to do a job in an illegal war and die or get wounded in either.

i think it depends what youd rather, look into what each entailed then make an informed decision.

You might get a better answer by using the UK version of YA.

You do your Army basic training first, then your Engineers trade, then you have to apply to do a Parachute course, and it is up to your CO if he will allow it. You just dont join the parachute Engineers straight away. The same applies to A commando course.
