What is better...virgin media or sky?

I have never had sky so can't compare the two but i do have virgin media on a package for the phone,broadband and T.V, We also purchased the V+ box about a year ago and it is the best thing ever!!!

I am not 100% sure but i think i remember when i was shopping around for the box that the sky box only lets you record two things at the same time but the virgin box lets you record 3.

I have Virgin Media TV and the box is always breaking. We've had around 4 different boxes since joining! However, when it is working it's pretty good; the On Demand service is fantastic.

Sky TV has more channels including the all important Sky One, which I miss. :(

One thing that is better on Virgin is that the remote has a 'back' button whereas with Sky you have to punch the number back in, which is annoying if you've forgotten what channel you were on! Minor issues though.

Depends what your after i.e  what channels, whether you want broadband, etc

After deciding what you NEED do a pro and con chart and see which comes out the best, abit tedious I know but saves you money in the long run!

In terms of channels, Sky is definitely better. But if little things get on your nerves (like me!) then Virgin Media is best. On Sky for example, when you're going through the TV Guide, you can't see or hear the channel you were on, as it takes up the whole screen and just plays music in the background, whereas on Virgin Media, you can see a small picture of the channel you were on in the corner. Also, as someone else said, Sky has no 'back' button which can be annoying, and the Virgin Media On Demand services are also very good.

sky is def a massive waste of money, we are looking to getting it taken out!
